Structural steel beams craned into position against an open sky on a custom residential build

Denver · Front Range · Cutting · Coring · Welding

Cut. Core. Weld. Right the first time.

Concrete cutting, core drilling, and structural welding for Denver job sites. Straight lines at the depth the drawings call for, so the trade behind us isn't waiting.

The scope

One sub. Three trades.

Most cutting subs stop at the slab. Conrad also fabricates and welds, so the opening, its lintel, and its embeds can sit under one contract instead of three. Fewer handoffs. One crew accountable for the whole detail.

C-01 · Cutting & sawing

Concrete cutting & sawing

Straight wet-cut lines in occupied buildings. Slab sawing, wall sawing, and hand sawing to layout, with slurry contained and the cut ready for the next trade the same day.

  • Trench cuts for MEP rough-in
  • Openings and penetrations to layout
  • Dust and slurry control on every cut

C-02 · Core drilling

Core drilling

Penetrations from 1/2 in. up to 18 in. and larger. We've pulled 18 in. cores at garage door openings for bollard sets. Vacuum-pad rigs mount without anchor bolts, so your waterproofing stays intact.

  • MEP and fire-line penetrations
  • Vacuum-pad mounting protects membranes
  • Slurry collection at the hole

C-03 · Selective demolition

Selective demolition

Sawn, separated, removed. Controlled demolition that takes out exactly what the drawings call for and protects everything that stays.

  • Sawn panel removal, roads and slabs
  • Interior selective demo in active buildings
  • Haul-off coordination

C-04 · Structural steel & welding

Structural steel & welding

The trade no other Denver cutting sub carries. Field welding, structural reinforcement, and onsite fabrication, so the steel that closes out your opening comes from the same contract that cut it.

  • RTU and structural reinforcement
  • Onsite fabrication when it won't ship assembled
  • Overhead and position welding

How we work

Why GCs call Conrad

General, mechanical, fire suppression, civil. The scopes differ, the expectation doesn't: show up prepared, cut what the drawings say, and leave the site clean when you go.

Communication first

Pre-task planning and hazard analysis before the blade spins. Daily coordination with site leadership, so nobody finds out about a cut after it happened.

Safety without shortcuts

OSHA silica compliance per Table 1: wet cutting and HEPA extraction, not a guy with a shop vac. Hazard analysis on every task, every day.

Any timeline

After hours, weekends, emergency response. We've cut a footer bust at night so the client could pour the next morning. The schedule held.

Denver metro coverage

Crews mobilize across the Front Range, from downtown Denver streets to residential builds in the foothills.

When the schedule breaks, call us

A client found a footer design bust late in the day, with a pour on the calendar. Conrad mobilized that night and cut out the bad section. The client formed and poured the replacement footer the next day. Nobody downstream ever knew.

That's the whole pitch. If a bust is holding up a pour, call (720) 555-0134. We pick up, we mobilize, and the schedule holds.

The company

Built by trade veterans

Conrad CCW is built on a combined 40 years across steel, welding, and concrete. That mix is why the name covers cutting, coring, and welding: they're the trades we came up in, not services we bolted on.

The mission is short. Communicate, do quality work, keep people safe, and meet the timeline, whatever the timeline is. From pre-task planning through final cleanup, you get the same crew discipline job after job.
